Week 39

Hello from Idaho!! If you haven't checked out my video on Facebook, you should! ;)

Sooo Rylan got baptized!!!!

It was so fun to watch sister Hopkins experience her first baptism. The spirit was so strong, of course, but on Sunday the confirmation was even better. I've been able to witness several people receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, but nothing compares to what it was like to see Rylan get confirmed. It was an overwhelming feeling of the spirit that is 100% undeniable. (You know how it is...its impossible to accurately describe those feelings, so I won't even try lolol) But everyone in the meeting felt it. Including Rylans grandma (and her sister), his grandpa and mom who are all inactive. They all came to the baptism AND the confirmation and even stayed all 3 hours of church!! We got to talk to them afterwards and they commented on how they were feeling so peaceful and how they knew they needed to start coming back to church again. Also every one of the speakers said exactly what they needed to hear!

It's so cool to sit back and watch God work his magic!! That's the BEST part about being a missionary!

In other less exciting news...we got bashed this week...nicely. hahaha it was the weirdest thing. And I was just laughing inside the whole time. He told us everything that's wrong with the church but in the nicest way to where we almost wanted to thank him afterwards lolol. It's really sad actually to see people who are so far gone that not even the spirit can touch their hearts.

We had some stressful days this week, so one night we decided to go to the church building and shoot baskets for 20 mins. Those little things are what make the biggest difference. Plus, I'm a big advocate for finding the fun in missionary life! If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong!

After District Meeting on Friday we visited Sister Babbitt again (the inactive lady who's teaching us how to sew). We finished our pillowcases and they're super cute! I'll send a picture 😉
I love building relationships with less active or inactive members because we're able to gain their trust and they know that when we share our message with them, that it's out of love not duty. Which is always the case, but forming those relationships is the best way to show it.

I've been studying Pres Nelson's address to the youth that he gave last week. I'm not technically a youth anymore (lol weird) but I still feel like one and I know what he said applies to all of us.

He said, "Think of it! Of all the people who have ever lived on planet earth, we are the ones who get to participate in this final, great gathering event. How exciting is that!
Our Heavenly Father has reserved many of His most noble spirits—perhaps, I might say, His finest team—for this final phase. Those noble spirits—those finest players, those heroes—are you!"

That's us!! We're His finest team! It is SO COOL to be a missionary right now! There's nothing in this world that's more important than bringing our brothers and sisters back to Christ. I'm so privelaged and grateful that I get to be apart of something so grand and divine in this day and age!!

The Savior is coming again! Soon! Are we preparing to meet Him? Are we living as He has asked? I often think of the primary song "If the savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do?"

Let us all work a little harder to be a little better! You can do it, I believe in you! And if that's not enough, the Savior of the world, and your Father in Heaven believe in you!

I'd love to hear how each of you are participating in this grand gathering of Israel!

Love you ma dudes!
